Richmond Black Belt Academy in Richmond BC is owed and operated by Bruce McCann. Bruce is a true nice guy who found his passion in Martial Arts. In the short time that I sat with him he showed me several demonstrations videos about what Taekwondo means. These video showed all the forms used has dance as well as self defense. There is now MMA training with in the network of ATA that he belongs to. He discussed how the art started in Korea. In our discussion he showed why he has a Black Belt.

 

The Richmond Black Belt Academy set on Horse Shoe Way Rd near No5 Rd and Steveston Hwy in Richmond, BC and has found a quiet spot in the industrial park. The have several different programs using Martial Arts to train and strengthen the body, mind and sole. The owner Bruce is not about teaching combat but is looking to show his students a balanced way of life. He is a very mild mannered gentleman. The man at first glance does not look like much of a powerhouse but as take in his presence you do start realize his strength. I have never met a more peaceful person. He believes in simple courtesy and true self-discipline. This is a full contact sport but this gentle school owner talks about polite contact with simply means you could get bruised but it was not done out of malice. As a trainer Bruce is surely not the evil Dojo Master from the Karate Kid. To him Martial Arts is tool of a balanced life style.

At the Richmond Black Belt Academy you will learn these thing from this kind-hearted instructor. I have watched him after following him around of r a day and discovered that these are the principals of his life. He took me to a black belt achievement ceremony where a young man earn his 4^th degree in black belt and they told a story that a black belt should give of himself in order to be useful this not what I would have expected to find in martial arts instruction. These people as well as people truly believe that giving to the road to success. Imagine what kind of physical power these people possess from doing learning to kick and bunch the way they do and now the kind of self control these in taking an oath not to use it against another human being.  I watch him guide a child in how not to be bullied and at the same time don’t be the bully. He told him all to use his martial’s art training to get adults and teachers involve helping a bully situation.

 

Bruce truly wants to give to his community through his school. He teaches self defense, rape prevention, exercise, and offer them for a reason price. He makes a very modest living at all this. Justin Bieber costs a toy maker $100,000

This might sound ridiculous at first but I can see some of this problem.

Justin Bieber change his  hair and as we know it is part of his brand.  Any change to Justin’s style is also a change in marketing. As for anyone making money on his image a change can be costly because of template changes but if you are in this business you have to factor these things or hope you do so well. Not the case for one doll maker.

The left is Justin Bieber’s new do. The right is the doll base on his old style. Jay Foreman the CEO of Bridge Direct was not happy with this change. Every doll he made is now out dated and his company most start over again with a new template of the new image before going to market. This is a $100,000 change that Bridge Direct was not expecting. I am sure that Mr. Foreman and his team with overcome this blow after all Justin Bieber is a teen idol and has on the most popular look of today. Good Luck Bridge Direct!!!!

Mary-Kate and Ashley have done it. They sold out of the $39000 Back Pack. It was introduced in August and in a few short months they are all sold. There is a lot of people angry and disappointed with the price tag on the  bag and they are even more anger that is sold. These two ladies do give to charity. I say lets see what happens to the money. I agree that at first look over the very alligator bag such a price tag in a snoot to the folks you are wrapped in today’s poor economy but it what you do after the money is made. Shall we give the twins a chance to give the money to a needy group in the United States before we bash them. Not that I am fan of theirs but I am a fan of human nature and I am hopeful that people well always help each other out.

These clogs are quite comfortable When I received them knowing what the price point was at about $30 I did not expect much at all. I looked them over and the upper in leather or suede the bottoms are total man made. They have a cushy fleece line for warm toes and the heel is padded. The overall balance of the shoe is amazing I walked around downtown for 8 hours in complete comfort. My feet did not grow tired. With the colour style and balance of platform and 3 inch heel I got lots of compliments on with them. I even wore them to a business meeting and yes I did get the sales. Be careful with or sizing I order the size 11 based on my foot length but reality is I could have gotten the size 10. They are little bigger than they appear. Wide feet should be fine also. I have a narrow foot and the size 11 as a bit much space. Enjoy they are a great buy.
